Welcome to the Family Wild Program!

Welcome! Family Wild sprang to life in 2016 as a way to connect family members with each other through hunting, fishing and the arts — aspects of natural living that call us to interact with all things wild.

Creating your own Family Wild club encourages YOUR FAMILY — children, teens, parents, grandparents and friends — to gather regularly to create and celebrate the natural environment through fishing, hunting, practical gardening and preservation skills, wildlife habitat creation and artistic activities. The list of how to engage the natural world is almost endless, and through our books, audio, streaming videography and timely blog entries we invite you to explore, learn and, most importantly, have fun as a family.

We encourage children, teens and adults to log their accomplishments and strive to earn “Slam” achievement certificates and patches. Visit the “Slams” page on this site to view the requirements and, when you’ve met the criteria, follow the directions to order your award. And tackle our highest honor — the 80-hour Walk Softly community project honor!

On this site, you’ll find links to our books, a very active blog, PDF certificates of achievement, a calendar of events, updated photographs, activities and recipes sent in by folks just like you, as well as an entire line of exciting Family Wild apparel.

Don’t hesitate to drop us a note or question — we love interacting with families all over the world. We hope you enjoy your visit to our website!
